“Cortona Sun Flower” - The Project

Cortona Sunflower is a tourism project created by the Municipality of Cortona to promote the local area and further increase the opportunities offered to summer visitors.

The project involves creating itineraries and events linked to the image and landscape of sunflower fields and is aimed at trade associations, agritourism businesses, and all tourism industry professionals. Everyone is given the opportunity to design themed experiences and events.

The Administration will provide an official logo, a map of the planting areas, and a single calendar for events. The project is developed through two main formats:

• Sunflower Experience: activities such as tours, guided visits, and photography experiences launched by businesses;
• Sunflower Festival: scheduled events such as tastings and performances.
